Changes proposed to delegation of duties to unlicensed personnel in Alaska

Over the last month, the AMAS executive board has requested comments from Don Balasa, Legal Counsel, regarding the proposed changes to the delegation of duties to unlicensed personnel (and specifically requiring a medical assisting credential for certain duties) . I mentioned this at our state conference and would appreciate you taking the time to look over the proposal , submit comments of support, and asking your providers to do the same. Please review the attached documents.

The deadline for submitting written comments is 4:30 p.m. on May 22, 2019.

You may comment on the proposed regulation changes, including the potential costs to private persons of complying with the proposed changes, by submitting written comments to:
