Anchorage Chapter of Medical Assistants 3 CEU Presentation Feb. 23, 2019

The officers of the Anchorage Chapter of Medical Assistants invite you to attend a 3-CEU presentation on Saturday, February 23, 2019.  (AAMA approval pending for CEUs.)

Topic:  Stop the Bleed

Description:  This course teaches participants the basic life-saving medical interventions, including bleeding control with a tourniquet, bleeding control with gauze packs and opening an airway to allow a casualty to breathe. The course presentation consists of a short power point followed by hands-on practice with tourniquets as well as wound packing. 

Time:  8:30 – 9 am  Lite breakfast and brief Chapter meeting

9:15 am  – 12:45 pm   Stop the Bleed presentation with hands-on practice

Speaker:  Todd Lecours, Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic, Alaska Department of Health and Social Services

Location:  UAA Campus, Allied Health Sciences Building, Room 206 

Fee:  There is no fee for AAMA members
